Angela and Chris' Wedding at The Pour Vineyard | Southern Illinois Wedding Photographer

It didn’t take long during that first consult to realize that I was going to LOVE working with Angela and Chris. Angela works in the event industry herself, so she knew exactly how to focus on what truly mattered and had a clear vision from the very start. We also immediately bonded over our love of sushi, and how celebratory dinners usually involve splurging at Seven. Chris and Angela even found themselves at Seven the evening of the proposal!!

The two of them planned their wedding at The Pour Vineyard that sits right outside of Red Bud, IL (my hometown!), and everything about this beautiful venue, fit the organic, natural, and bright vibes they were planning for.

With everything and everyone in one location, they had a very relaxed, slow-paced day. Exactly what you hope for as a bride, because it goes by FAST. The flower girls are below, showing off their dress twirls while the rest of the ladies finished hair and makeup in the bridal suite!

Then, the two of them snuck away for a private first look, and the next 30 minutes or so was for just the two of them. We continued to shoot as the rest of the wedding party joined us, so the bulk of the photos were complete before the ceremony even began!

At the ceremony, Angela and Chris read the vows they wrote. I absolutely adore when couples put their love into their own words. It’s personal, emotional, and memorable. Plus, the vow books that were in their detail photos above, make the perfect keepsake.

After the ceremony and a few more family photos, they got right into the party!

Then came what might just be my favorite party of a wedding day—sunset portraits. I love to sneak couples out for a few additional photos at sunset. The Pour Vineyard is PERFECT for this, because you take ten steps away from your party, and you’re in a stunning vineyard, with the sunset over the lake as a backdrop. You just can’t beat that soft light, and the magic that happens when couples are completely relaxed, and beaming with just married, joy.
