Natalie and Alex's Wedding at Family Property and The Franklin Room | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Natalie and Alex’s 2020 wedding experience was filled with several firsts for all of us. They were the first of my couples to move forward with two wedding dates. Which resulted in the amazing side-by-side images that you see below. Different trees, different seasons, and different zip codes—but, Natalie and Alex looking stunning always.

Their spring wedding was downsized to an intimate ceremony on the family property with their parents as witnesses. They became husband and wife just before sunset, and toasted with champagne as a parade of family and friends drove by—definitely a memorable evening. And, with the gathering limit set to 10 people…I was honored to be standing there with my camera.

Still wanting to celebrate with more of their favorite people, their fuller wedding day was postponed to the fall with a vow renewal in church (that was always the original plan), and a fun reception to follow at The Franklin Room. Things were still missing and different, to say the least, but it was truly beautiful and they were beyond excited to see the day finally arrive.

Since they were already married, the entire wedding party got ready together at the bride and groom’s home. I loved that. It was the first time I've ever arrived to shoot a wedding with the couple’s wedding photos already hanging on the wall. ha! And, the first time I’ve ever had a groom casually pop into the “bridal suite” for the sweetest, unplanned moment.
