Romantic Bridal Portrait Inspiration in Rural Southern Illinois

This styled bridal shoot was born after my talented friend, Kelsey Renee Photography, and I started dreaming about bridal portraits that highlight the rural, Midwestern setting that we both call home in Illinois. We combined both natural and refined details with a soft, neutral color palette, and reached out to a few of our favorite vendors who BROUGHT IT. From the tulle wings moving through the wheat field, the perfectly loose and wild bouquet (complete with toffee roses!), the floral fedora for a whimsical touch, and even the threat of rain disappearing to give us the most stunning evening on the farm—every single aspect came together beautifully.

And, here is a look at all of the behind the scenes fun! It was actually POURING rain while these photos were being taken at the salon. It cleared up for our sunset shoot, and our incredible model braved the mud flawlessly.
