Romantic Summer Wedding at Sunflower Hill Farm | Missouri Wedding Photographer

Kelsey and Nick's romantic, summer wedding at Sunflower Hill Farm—a venue that combines an elevated, classic aesthetic with a natural, rural feel—was a memorable celebration from start to finish.

One of the things that I absolutely love about Sunflower Hill Farm is the farm-to-table element that they bring to their events. They source produce from the garden that grows on the property, and eggs from the chickens that free range on site. That level of authenticity really speaks to the thoughtful hospitality that they pour into the experience.

A huge advantage to this all-inclusive, Missouri venue is that it allowed Kelsey and Nick’s wedding to unfold in a single location. This led to a relaxed timeline and a seamless experience for the couple, their guests, and their vendors. With plenty of space and abundant natural light, the day started with everyone getting ready in the bright, modern farmhouse that sits on site. The covered porch that surrounds the house, is a favorite spot of mine to use for both quiet, private moments and classic portraits.

Throughout the day, we moved around the property for endless photo opportunities, and were even able to step right outside of the reception area to take advantage of the soft glow of sunset for some additional bride and groom portraits. After their first look and the bulk of their photos, Kelsey and Nick exchanged vows on top of the hill overlooking the rolling property. From there, guests moved to the reception where they could enjoy the flexibility of the indoor and outdoor spaces as they flowed from the gorgeous interior to the covered patio and the surrounding outdoor seating.
